As the Manager, Wellness & Recognition, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative non-cash total rewards programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent. Join our dynamic team and make a significant impact on employee engagement and well-being
As a Manager, Wellness and Recognition, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing comprehensive wellness, recognition and rewards programs that enhance the employee experience, including:
- Wellness
- Recognition
- Service awards
- Rewards (e.g. summer tickets)
- Employee discounts
Designing and implementing effective systems to monitor, track data and analyze program effectivenessConducting research and analysis on industry trends to drive program innovationCollaborating with stakeholders to ensure programs align with organizational goalsOverseeing the execution of programs and optimizing processes for efficiencyLeveraging technology to streamline operations and improve user experienceManaging program budgets and negotiating with vendors for cost-effective solutionsLeading the Wellness Advisory Team to develop and amplify program messaging and facilitate peer-to-peer support networksPartnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver comprehensive communication plans to promote awareness, adoption and employee engagement of programs Committing to and role modelling the GTAA Leadership Behaviours to support and further the business’ vision through the build and development of diverse, multi-skilled teams
The salary for this management position is competitive based on the successful candidate’s qualifications.
This is the role for you, if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in Human Resources
- 5+ years of progressive relevant experience (i.e. responsible for wellness, employee engagement, recognition, or rewards)
- 3+ years' experience in a leadership role
- Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader (CHRP/CHRL), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), as an asset
- Experience in designing and implementing wellness initiatives (e.g. mental health, fitness)
- Experience with employee recognition platforms (Achievers or similar), an asset
- The ability to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance
Knowledge and skills you bring,

- Proven experience in managing wellness and recognition programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to promote initiatives and create awareness
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders at various levels
- Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to program adoption and effectiveness
- Knowledge of industry trends and Human Resources best practices
