Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Project Manager for a client based in Mississauga, Ontario. The role is hybrid 2-3 days a week.
This position will involve overseeing multiple IT projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with business goals, and managing resources effectively.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strict adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define project goals and success metrics clearly.
- Evaluating trade-offs between project size, complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value.
- Developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines,
deliverables, and milestones, and making adjustments as needed to meet objectives.
- Managing a variety of resources including internal team members and external partners.
- Monitoring project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial control throughout the project.
- Providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders, maintaining transparency regarding project progress, challenges, and results.
- Ensuring all project deliverables meet the company’s standards for quality and align with business expectations.
- Assessing and resolving high priority project risks as they arise.
- Ensuring all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in the business case.
- Overseeing project closeout, including handoff to operations, post-launch support, and documentation of lessons learned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration,
or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a track record of successfully managing a large portfolio of diverse IT projects.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred. Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.
- Broad understanding of general IT principles including IT infrastructure, software development, data management, cybersecurity.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, or similar tools).
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex project environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, think critically,
and make effective decisions in fast-paced environments
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfortable working across various IT domains and able to adjust strategies to fit different project types and scopes.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
