We are a prominent leader in the pet aftercare industry, dedicated to providing compassionate and professional services to pet parents and veterinary clinics. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager with a PMP qualification to lead cross functional, commercially focused and complex projects across our organization. Based in Guelph, ON, this role is pivotal in driving project-related activities, from ideation through to final execution, and ensuring operational alignment in a fast-paced, service industry environment.







Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee commercial projects spanning various functions, including Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Finance ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Champion best practices in project management through creation of structure, accountability and discipline across our commercial projects, while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and communicate project progress and insights to stakeholders.
- Support sales and marketing efforts by providing project insights, case studies, and success stories to showcase the organization's capabilities.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budgetary constraints.






- Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with departments across the organization to facilitate seamless project execution and knowledge sharing.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop risk management strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Education, Training & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Proven experience in project management within a fast-paced service industry, preferably in pet care or related sectors.
- Excellent communication skills,





with the ability to manage complex problems and processes in a way all others can digest.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive results under tight deadlines.

Skills & Abilities

- Project Management: Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodologies to oversee a full project from planning and development through to implementation. This includes defining project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Project documentation and reporting: Proficiency in documenting project requirements, specifications, and outcomes. Prepare regular progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders to track project milestones and performance metrics.
- Technical capabilities:





Proficient in project management software Asana as well as PowerBI for reporting.
- Strategic planning: ability to devise a comprehensive, feasible strategy that aligns with project goals and objectives. This involves understanding requirements, evaluation project scope and formulating an actionable plan.
- Resource management: Ability to gauge what resources are needed, coordinating team focus and resource allocation, and ensuring time is used effectively and efficiently.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional teams; ability to inspire and motivate the team, resolve conflicts and steer the project towards its objectives.
- Commercial expertise: Proven ability to lead revenue-generating and growth projects,





understanding key revenue drivers and functions supporting top-line growth.
- Prioritization and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Communication skills: Clear, concise and persuasive verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management to drive consensus and project success.
- Problem-solving and decision-making: Strong critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
- Adaptability and learning agility:





Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a dynamic environment.
