Intermediate Data Analyst to perform data exploration and create dashboards using SQL, Python, Tableau and PowerBI with one of our major banking clients- 35265
Location Address: Hybrid - twice a week - Toronto
Contract Duration: 11/11/2024 to 11/7/2025 (Possibility of extension)
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5hrs/week
Story Behind the Need
- Business group: Internal Data Protection (OU20021319)
- We are in charge of the data protection. We provide governance around data and is kept safe through the different uses of data.
- Projects: They will be a part of one project which has multiple work streams. One of which is data exploration and will have to extract data from different systems.
The other is data analysis and also will create dashboards as a part of the job.
Typical Day in Role:
- Analyzes performance of process activities, identifies problem areas, and presents findings in clear, concise charts, graphs, tables, or summaries.
- This process involves collecting data and consolidating data from disparate databases, systems, applications, and locations, enabling a comprehensive overview of information assets from an end-to-end perspective
- Identifies ways to automate manual data acquisition from different databases to create a consistent and unified view of similar datapoints across different systems.
- Test databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
- Assesses the need for process improvements based on activity trends and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Conducts research on emerging products, services, approaches, and techniques in the areas of data analysis.
Must Have Skills:
- 8-10 years of experience required in data analytics.
- Recent 5 years of experience in strong PC skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI
- Recent 5 years’ experience and strong knowledge using and implementing visualization tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience with Data Management and Big Data ecosystem.
- Demonstrated knowledge of one or more key information service standards such as SDLC, ITIL, QA/testing, Project Management, Six Sigma, etc.
Education & Certificates:
- Bachelor’s in computer science or mathematics is a must have
- Process certification, such as, Six Sigma, CBPP, BPM, ISO 20000, ITIL, CMMI is an asset
Best VS. Average Candidate:
- Someone who can demonstrate their work and what they have accomplished in the recent past.
Interview schedule:
- 1st round - MS Teams - 1 hour - HM +Panel (Technical & soft skills)
