JOB PURPOSE:

As a member of the Canadian Quality & Supply Chain team, you will help ensure the Local Operating Company (LOC) Quality processes and systems are in-use for all related activities, and executed in compliance with HALEON standards and policies, GxP and regulatory requirements. This function is critical to the effective execution of processes and systems that are crucial or have a direct impact to product quality, regulatory compliance and product supply.

In this role, you will own the accountability to manage and oversee operational quality activities within the LOC. This includes end to end product lifecycle management through support of innovation and product launch, batch disposition and change management. Using an active customer and consumer focused mindset, the Quality Manager- Supply Chain,





Logistics & Distribution will generate creative solutions for technical problems while maintaining adherence to HALEON values and expectations. They will drive operational team performance, with a continuous improvement mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

LOC Quality processes and systems compliance:

- Acting as primary LOC supply chain point of contact ensuring supply chain product needs are appropriately prioritized and that release turn-around times and measures to support OTIF are in place, measurable and monitored to drive performance.
- Support quality team for commercial business to provide input, expertise and problem solving for new product introductions and/or changes to existing products and manufacturing sites.

Batch management & Release to Market:

- Lead batch assessment and release activities for all API, bulks, intermediates, repacks and finished product as applicable, to ensure releases are carried out efficiently,





in a timely manner, that they meet relevant regulatory standards and support local business requirements.
- Oversee all Duty of Care activities and act as Quality Person responsible for release of product to the local market.
- Ensure investigations and root cause analysis are conducted in accordance with procedure, are supported by team in a timely manner, and manage resolution of Quality-related issues arising from operational activities with LOC Quality Lead, Logistic Services Provider (LSPs) and supplying sites.
- Ensure application of robust quality hold process as required for product issues, ensuring control internally and at third party service providers as required.
- Where applicable,





ensure timely local Quality release of imported finished goods deliveries.
- Develop systems and processes to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. Apply comprehensive data analytics through business intelligence system(s) to measure and drive performance and team workload.

Local Repacking:

- Oversee all matters pertaining to GxP, Regulatory and QMS compliance for repacking processes to ensure timely QA approval before initiating any re-packing activity as well as to ensure timely Quality batch release of repacked orders before distribution.
- Ensure documentation of batch records including repack protocol and retention of samples, where applicable. Engage cross-functionally with Quality Compliance to ensure robust,





compliant repacking process is in place locally and with 3rd party service providers.

ERP, Systems, and Regulatory Compliance:

- Act as Key Lead resource responsible for ensuring that operational systems are robust, fit for purpose and implemented appropriately within the LOC.
- Ensure standard, consistent routine in-use performance supported by SOPs and WIs as required.
- Responsible for ensuring products comply with specification, registered details, and that LOC review of specifications for regulated products is conducted and any issues are escalated and addressed.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring that regulated requirements including identity testing, annual confirmatory testing, unique identification, and full batch record review are conducted in a timely manner.






- Ensure appropriate management of identified temperature excursions inbound and in-market within the Canada supply chain. Support LOC Quality Manager to ensure robust investigations are conducted where required and product dispositions are documented and supported.
- Act as operational quality subject matter expert to support above-site and regulatory agency inspections of the LOC quality unit in relation to GxP operations.
- Drive robust monthly management review process within LOC Quality unit, ensuring quality culture mindset and driving knowledge and capability improvements.
- Assist local market Quality & Regulatory Intelligence process by assessing impact of emerging regulations and providing input to LOC Quality Compliance Manager team as requested.





Provide insight to external advocacy groups to assist in aligning industry position.
- Assist with activities associated with the Chemicals Management Plan in accordance with CEPA requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Quality, or related scientific discipline
- Quality experience within the industry, and application of Quality Systems & Quality Operations
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Pharmaceutical / Consumer Healthcare industries, preferably in the capacity of a quality specialist or a manager.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to GMP.
- Understanding of and experience in quality assurance systems particularly in the areas of batch release, product incidents, artwork control, change management and post-market surveillance.
- Knowledge on effective quality documentation systems.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills. Able to deliver positive and proactive communications and foster excellent working relationships with stakeholders at any level of the organization.
- Ability to influence and motivate stakeholders at any level of the LOC organization.
- Analytical mind, good attention to detail and problem-solving skills within a structured process
- Good team player – works well in cross-functional teams.
- Good time management skills, with ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Concise and persuasive in the description of the different QA situations. Able to stick to the standard and not be pressurized.
- Works with a spirit of continuous improvement and innovation, creatively open to new ideas and methods
- Flexible thinking – able to challenge and see views from different perspectives.
- Ability to self-motivate and be resilient and focused under pressure.
- Strong general computer literacy with Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- MBA or equivalent.
