Join our team as a Senior Air Quality Engineer and be the breath of fresh air our team needs! As part of our team, you will be client-focused and have extensive knowledge of air emissions and dispersion modelling. You prioritize supporting others on the team, to see projects through to successful completion as a seasoned technical expert.

What Will You Do?
You will be a part of growing and adapting the air assessment and monitoring service line and will be able to provide mentorship to intermediate and junior team members. Reporting to the Group Manager, you will be a project lead and oversee technical processes and accuracy for a diverse portfolio of projects.

Essential Job Duties:

- Development of strong working relationships with clients and internal staff to support projects from a technical aspect.
- Collaborate with project managers to manage air quality scope and deliverables on multidisciplinary projects,





alerting the senior project manager to client challenges early to engage their support.
- Manage the high-level technical accuracy of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Guide the team toward meeting project objectives by overseeing the technical activities and preparation of documentation.
- Support project managers with planning and coordination of technical aspects of projects.
- Oversee data collection, calculation methods, modelling, analysis, interpretation, and documentation of results and engineering opinions.
- Monitor project performance and ensure technical quality is achieved and client expectations are met.
- Coordinate with the project manager to ensure financial activities associated with several ongoing projects including issuing invoices, tracking revenues,





and understanding where the scope of work may need to be altered and the related cost implications, is well communicated and understood.
- Participate in technical activities for air quality assessments including data collection/analysis and emission modelling.
- Conduct atmospheric dispersion modelling using AERMOD, CALPUFF, SCREEN3, and other atmospheric dispersion models.
- Write and review technical reports that present air quality methodology, recommendations, mitigation requirements, and results.
- Complete Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling (ESDM) reports to support ECA applications or EASR registrations and assist with the design of emission controls.
- Consult with and answer technical questions from colleagues, other project support staff, and clients.






- Adhere to health and safety protocols for self and support staff, if applicable.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in applicable engineering disciplines.
- Registration with Professional Engineers Ontario as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) is a requirement.
- 7+ years of relevant environmental air engineering experience (preferably in consulting environment).
- Superior technical report-writing skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate well with others and engage in technical conversations.
- Excellent strategic thinking and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to act as the technical liaison between internal project teams, external clients, and regulators.
- Diligent and detail-oriented with the desire to learn.






- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
- Sound and current knowledge of provincial legislation and regulations relating to environmental air emissions.
- Willingness for occasional travel within Ontario.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
