Position Summary

Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed casual Administrative Assistant to support the Cardiac and Cerebrovascular Services department.

The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of clerical duties for NORTH Prince George Clinic such as receiving visitors, telephone answering, booking appointments, typing, and/or independently reporting medical test results.

Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Office Administration Certificate.
• Recent, related experience of one year,
• or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• or other qualifications determined to be reasonable and relevant to the level of work.

Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.






• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
• Ability to operate required equipment.
• Ability to organize and prioritize.
• Ability to type 60 words per minute.
• Business writing skills.
• Knowledge of general office procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients.
