Peace River School Division Transportation Department is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Temporary Bus Fleet Technician (Mechanic) . This position will be a 12 month term commencing as soon as possible with the possibility of an extension. The Bus Fleet Technician (mechanic) reports to the Transportation Manager and will be based at the Peace River School Division's Central Operations Building located in Grimshaw, Alberta. Repairs and maintenance of school buses Repairs and maintenance of Equipment and service vehicle fleet Repairs and maintenance of Heavy Truck and trailers (Class 1 training school) Fleet inspections, troubleshooting and other related duties as assigned Applicants should have good organizational habits and maintain a safe, clean work environment. As a member of the Peace River School Division Support Staff a competitive wage and benefits package is offered in accordance with an established grid.Preference will be given to individuals with Journeyman Trade Certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic and/or Automotive Mechanic and individuals with experience operating a tow truck. Individuals must be reliable, hold a valid class 5 license, display a positive work attitude and have good communication skills.
