The Manager, People and Culture will be responsible for providing strategic oversight of the Equity, Inclusion and Belonging priorities to create and foster a healthy, safe and inclusive workplace culture. This position will apply a strong background in organizational development, change leadership, advancing workplace culture and operationalizing global benchmarks. Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead, mentor and develop a high performing Team and foster a respectful, safe and inclusive workplace culture.
- Responsible for providing leadership oversight and strategic alignment with service priorities.
- Oversee the implementation and operationalization of the inclusion and belonging framework and strategy.
- Establish change management and change leadership plans on all initiatives.
- Oversee the creation and sustainment of Inclusion and Belonging Foundational Learning modules.
- Establish an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) curriculum to advance education and awareness.
- Integrate EDIB principles and practices in policies, processes, and practices.
- Promote a culture of accountability using the Result Based Accountability methodology.
- Sustain cooperative, collaborative and strategic alliance with partners.
- Promote and model Calgary Police Service (CPS) values: Respect, honesty, compassion, courage, fairness, accountability and integrity.
Qualifications
- A degree in Human Resources,
Business, Social Sciences or a related filed, and a minimum of 6 years of directly related experience.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have worked in a large organization with organizational development and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging principles.
- Previous leadership experience is required.
- The successful applicant will be competent in analytical thinking, lead and develop others, communication, equity, diversity & inclusion, conflict resolution, leadership, managing resources, personal accountability.
Pre-employment Requirements
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
