One of our automotive clients is looking for a Logistics Manager at GTA region for their manufacturing facility.
Pay Rate : $100k-$110k.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Coordination: Manage and optimize the entire supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution of automotive parts and finished products.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of materials and components required for vehicle production, avoiding shortages or excess stock.
- Transport Management: Coordinate transportation of goods and materials, selecting the most efficient and cost-effective methods (road, rail, sea, or air) to ensure timely delivery.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and third-party logistics providers to ensure the timely and efficient flow of materials.
- Process Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower costs.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage logistics staff, including warehouse personnel, drivers, and supply chain analysts, ensuring clear communication and effective performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all logistics activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards, including customs requirements for international shipments.
- Cost Control: Develop and manage logistics budgets, identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising service levels.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze logistics data (e.g., shipping costs, transit times) to identify trends, optimize processes, and prepare performance reports for senior management.
- Technology Integration:
Utilize logistics software systems (ERP, TMS, WMS) to improve supply chain visibility and decision-making.
Key Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in logistics, preferably within the automotive industry or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Automotive Supply Chain: In-depth understanding of the automotive supply chain, just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems, and production schedules.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and leading teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot supply chain issues and develop innovative solutions under time constraints.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics management systems (TMS, WMS), ERP software, and advanced Excel for data analysis.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and international trade laws.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines.
