Redstone Commodity Search is working with a Ferrous Trading House looking to hire a Ferrous Scrap Operations Manager to join the commercial team.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Manage, mentor, and supervise the US operations team in all aspects of trade execution.
- Manage and improve the internal business operational procedures and paperwork processing by streamlining, standardizing,
and automating the operational processes.
- Manage and develop the team to create a customer-focused organization that develops strong relationships with the commercial teams, customers, and mills.
- Train and assist operations staff to liaise with stevedores, warehouses, trucking companies, and other logistics service providers to coordinate day-to-day operational activity.
- Ensure monthly warehouse reports are received, optimize aging inventory, and reconcile with the stock information in the system.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- In-depth knowledge of customer service and operations management.
- Experience in designing and implementing new operations procedures.
- Customer-focused with good communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-management - manages own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals.
- Staff management – coordinate staff management in ways that improve their ability to succeed on the job and enhance teamwork.
