DescriptionRegal Security Inc. is currently seeking Patrol Security Guard (Temporary) services in the Aurora and Newmarket, ON. This is a temporary position, guards hired for this position will be considered for permanent positions based on performance and vacancy requirements. The Ideal Candidate must have:
- Full-time availability to work all days of the week and schedules that can consist of mornings, afternoons, overnight and weekend shifts – including holidays.
- Capable of working predominantly outdoors in any weather conditions, conducting driving and foot patrol of properties.
- Customer service-driven individual
- Clear English communication skills in all areas (verbal and written)
- Detailed and thorough record-keeping (Memo book, incident reports, etc.)
- Keen observation and attentiveness
- Professional physical deportment and presentation
- Decision Making, Reliable, Common Sense and exceptional judgment
- G2 or G Class driver's license with a cleared drivers abstract is an asset.
- Willing to obtain use of force training to work as a tactical guard.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding and personalized customer service as a front line representative of Regal Security
- Perform vehicle checks and ensure vehicle cleanliness.
- Attend designated properties to driveway and property checks on foot.
- Operate and maintain an organized environment
- Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain the security and safety of our clients and their assets
- Ensure enforcement of Trespass to Property Act
- Safely operate and maintain company and client-issued equipment and supplies.
- Respond to major incidents on property and aid security staff with managing the situation (fire,
flood, medical issue and criminal activity)
- Observe any suspicious activity in the neighborhood (theft, break in, suspicious individuals, etc...)
Qualifications:
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
- Valid WHMIS Certification
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent and higher (preference will be given to those with a Criminal Justice or Business post-secondary education)
- Proficient in the use of various computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office, Gmail) and able to adapt and learn a new program.
Compensation:
- The pay rate will be up to $20 per hour.
- Health Benefits are available for full-time employees upon completion of 3 months probation.
