What is the Opportunity?
As the Manager, Payroll Taxation, you will lead RBCs Canadian payroll taxation team and ensure the accuracy of payroll preparation and processing, payroll accounting, tax filing and remittance, and benefits maintenance.
What will you do?
- Lead a high performing team which executes the highest standards of employee life cycle change and payroll delivery, in all employee tax matters.
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll preparation and processing, payroll accounting, tax filing and remittance, benefits maintenance, and various special payments.
- Develop payroll procedures, controlling and supervising the preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll-related payments.
- Ensures compliance with RBC internal control requirements, regulatory requirements and RBC HR policies and programs in the delivery of payroll.
- Manage all payroll reports, time sheets, individual attendance and production records, and other related documentation; ensuring all data is updated within organizational Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) in a timely manner.
- Collaborative work with Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Quebec and our Corporation taxation group.
- Generation and reconciliation of all year-end tax forms and UAT for taxation updates.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Educational and professional background in employee life cycle and payroll management in a large organization
- Experience of the principles and operation of payroll tax requirements essential.
- Strong experience with HR and Payroll Software applications. Experience of working with SAP is an advantage.
- Good understanding of internal controls and payroll accounting
- Proven experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
