Position Summary...
The Senior Copywriter is responsible for leading Walmart Canada’s brand tone, copy strategy and voice across all eCommerce channels and customer touchpoints. The work begins and ends with understanding/advocating for our customers and speaking to them in a voice that resonates with them. The Senior Copywriter will engage with cross-functional partners to ensure the brand is well-defined and communicated through all customer experiences – embodying the Walmart brand values of caring, authenticity, straightforwardness, innovation and optimism.What you'll do...
1. Plan, develop, evolve, and oversee the creation of user-centric content,
ensuring the tone and writing style express and elevate the brand voice of Walmart across all customer touchpoints:
o Campaign banners
o Event hubs and experiences
o Marketing emails
o Transactional emails
o Customer Service emails
o Help Centre
o App experiences
o UX features
o Push notifications
2. Leverage data and user testing to optimize the language in marketing material, maximizing impact and customer engagement.
3. Analyze and interpret data effectively to inform decisions making processes and build a solid understanding of customer pain points, needs and expectations.
4. Lead copywriting team (dotted line from UX and CRM teams) to own the brand style guide, the approach to messaging, and its implementation across appropriate channels.
5. Develop and evolve copy workflows and processes including managing the workflow from ideation to translation and/or legal/compliance review thru to final delivery.
6. Managing content on the site ensuring it is up-to-date and relevant,
or escalating to the content owner to prioritize a new version or the removal of that content from the site.
7. Participate in design reviews and collaborate with Senior Manager of Studio and designers on content strategy, concepts, narrative and storytelling.
8. Partner with UX designers, researchers, product owners, and engineers to define content requirements and deliver compelling content and commerce experiences.
