Contract Duration: 6 months (Extension possible)
Pay range: C$60 - 75/hr
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Type: Hybrid, Onsite twice a week
About the Role:Join our innovative team as a UX Designer and help shape the future of our digital products. We are seeking a talented and experienced UX Designer to create exceptional user experiences that drive customer satisfaction and business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform complex problems into intuitive and elegant user experiences.
- Ideate, concept, and innovate to create engaging and memorable designs.
- Create sketches, wireframes, specifications, prototypes, scenarios, and storyboards.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure design intent is realized.
- Advocate for the user throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest design methodologies, practices, and trends.
- Participate in user research activities, including observational studies and usability testing.
- Effectively communicate design concepts, detailed designs, and design rationales.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a UX Designer.
- Proven ability to translate conceptual ideas into compelling customer experiences.
- Contributes to shaping the strategic experience design approach for projects and initiatives.
- Strong prototyping skills demonstrated through various techniques (sketch, paper, wireframe, video, or interactive prototypes).
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Experience designing for mobile devices.
- Expertise in MS Office Suite.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Understanding of web and mobile technologies.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, logical, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to ask insightful questions and communicate effectively.
- Ability to communicate ideas to diverse audiences and integrate feedback constructively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the wealth management, banking, or financial services industry.
- Experience with day trading.
- Agile experience.
- Confluence experience.
- Insurance industry experience.
