The Role
The HCF Innovation team is reimagining the way Australians engage with their health and healthcare. We are seeking a talented UX/UI designer to play a key role in shaping the next generation of health in Australia.
In this role, you will work closely with our multi-disciplined innovation team members, business leaders, subject matter experts and our members to craft intuitive, user-centred designs for our next generation of products and services. You will be someone who works well in small, fast moving, empowered teams.

Your role
- Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, wire framing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products.
- Work within multi-disciplined teams to create, test and develop new products and services.
- Translate concepts into wireframes and mock-ups and create intuitive user experiences.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
- Take a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- Take smart risks and champion new ideas.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, Psychology or a related discipline
- 3+ years of UX design experience ideally in the healthcare, fintech or insurance industries.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design thinking and a range of interaction design skills.
- Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud.
- A passion for user testing (Quantative and Qualatative) and experimentation as we love data driven decision making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate design decisions.
- Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.
- Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
- Passion for improving health and the healthcare experience through human-centered design.
