Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Technical Support Specialist to join our Product Quality & Service Support (PQSS) team. Reporting to the Manager of Technical Support, this individual will provide technical assistance to dealer technicians when diagnosing and repairing vehicle problems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing training to dealer technicians that will help maintain customer satisfaction.

What You’ll be Doing:
- Provide timely technical assistance to help dealer technicians diagnose and repair problem vehicles
- Follow up on unsolved technical problems
- Recognize, report and record certain conditions that pertain to quality or customer satisfaction
- Maintain and update technical assistance database to help technicians in resolving unusual conditions
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Customer Relations,
and other related departments as needed to solve issues
- Self-improvement by acquiring latest technology, method, and hands-on practice
- Other duties as required
What You’ll Bring:
- University/College degree/diploma in a related discipline (i.e. automotive, business)
- Certificate of Proficiency as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Service Technician is required; Toyota/Lexus Master certification and ASE certification are considered assets
- 10 years’ automotive work experience; 2 years’ in technical training
- Sound technical knowledge of automotive electronics and diagnostic procedure
- Knowledge of diesels, hybrids, battery electric vehicles and alternative fuel vehicles is an asset
- Ability to solve unique problems efficiently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Bilingual in English/French is an asset
- Occasional travel may be required to Dealerships
