As a Respectful Workplace Consultant, you play a crucial role in promoting a healthy, safe, respectful and inclusive work environment. You will be an important resource for leaders and employees to help manage and address respectful workplace and human rights matters. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct preliminary assessments of incidents and complaints related to workplace behaviour. The duties associated with this role:

- Conduct intake meetings on respectful workplace matters, evaluate risks, and triage issues and provide recommendations on next steps.
- Apply appropriate dispute resolution (ADR)





options and coaching to resolve conflict.
- Explore and support complex respectful workplace complaints, including human rights protected grounds violations.
- Collaborate with key partners to develop, advance, promote and deliver respectful workplace and human rights tools and resources for the organization.
- Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Develop and implement training and awareness for staff aimed at preventing and minimizing workplace bullying and harassment.
- Ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Promote and model the Calgary Police Service (CPS) values: respect, honesty, compassion, courage, fairness, accountability and integrity.

Qualifications

- A degree,





plus 5 years of relevant experience investigating human rights complaints and complex workplace issues.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated knowledge of human rights legislation and trends is required.
- Expertise in writing clear and concise reports is required.
- Specialized training in conflict resolution, ADR and workplace investigation is an asset.
- Success in this position requires the ability to build and foster collaborative relationships, change management, coaching and development, excellent time management and prioritizing skills to handle high volume and complex tasks and meet tight deadlines. A growth mindset,





adaptable to evolving conditions along with a strong political acumen and the ability to handle matters that are confidential and sensitive in nature.

Pre-employment Requirements

- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Compensation: Level E $83,059 - 125,413 per annum







Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day

work week with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
